Cookie for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: in Odessa, young patriots decorated sweets by themselves for the defenders

On October 9th in Odessa, with the support of the charitable foundation "TREVELLIZI" under the guidance of Tetiana Bovkun and baking master Svitlana from @mysweet_cookies a gingerbread making workshop was organized for little patriots. More than ten children participated in the event, helping to decorate the treats that will be sent to the front line defenders. The gingerbread in the shape of Ukraine and hearts were mostly decorated with blue and yellow colors.

The patriotic event for children and their parents created an atmosphere of peaceful life, which allowed the participants to distract themselves from the scary news, while expressing gratitude to the defenders who stand at the front line to shield the rear cities from the horrors of war, so that children do not see them.

At the children's location, the little ones danced to lively Ukrainian music. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without the world-famous composition "Oi u luzi chervona kalyna" performed by Andriy Klyvnyuk. The children sang along while decorating treats for Ukrainian soldiers.

The parents had visible smiles on their faces. It was evident that they felt important and necessary, especially for their children. Obviously, adults haven't smiled as often in the past six months since the full-scale Russian aggression. Children notice this, and that's why the importance of such events, where adults and children recharge with positive energy, cannot be overestimated.

Before the children started decorating the treats, Svitlana from @mysweet_cookies gave a small briefing and explained what confectionery markers were, for example. During the process, parents explained to their children who these gingerbread treats were being sent to. But judging by everything, they themselves understood who they were working for and wrote from the bottom of their hearts: "We are for peace!", "I believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine!", "You are the best, thank you!", and "Glory to Ukraine!". Along with these words, the children drew Ukrainian soldiers, the national flag, and symbols of peaceful life such as rainbows, juicy green grass, and blue clear sky. The young patriots decorated the treats with glazed airplanes, beside which they wrote "Dream". They also decorated the gingerbread with glazed blue and yellow flowers and white doves - a symbol of peace.

Children eagerly joined in cutting out various shapes from dough using special molds. They were very excited about this process.

And for the little ones, badges were prepared with the inscription: "So small, yet already a volunteer".

The ideological inspiration behind the charitable event is Tetiana Bovkun. She stated that the goal of the event is to instill patriotism and love for their homeland in children through good deeds, as well as to convey to the younger generation the importance of being kind, honest, fair, and responsible citizens.
